Retired Surfaces

Surfaces that no longer exist on the public API, and what replaced them. If an older integration, tutorial, or cached page references one of these, this page is the current contract — there is nothing to configure to bring it back.

Authentication

  • Device auth (/api/auth/device*, Ed25519 challenge-response) is not on the API. There is no Device entity.
  • POST /api/auth/apikey (user-route login) is retired and returns 410 Gone.
  • Identity keys are minted as atamaia_… and sent as Authorization: Bearer atamaia_….

Memory and cognition

  • Experience snapshot routes and experience_* MCP tools are gone.
  • Cognitive REST (/api/cognitive/*) and cognitive_* tools are gone. Consolidation still runs as a background job.
  • Forgotten shapes are a memory type on the work store, not a separate table or controller.
  • Fact history and as-of reads are part of the facts API.

Agents and tools

  • fact_confirm, fact_upsert, fact_search, and run_note are not on the agent tool surface. The note tool is run_add_note.
  • There is no MCP tool named channel_list.
  • The advertised MCP set is the hot allowlist plus help tools. Cold tools are reached with help_search, help_route, then atamaia_call. Older public counts (74 product tools, about 170 total) are not the contract.

Channels

  • The matrix and signal channel adapters are not offered. The previous stubs advertised send/receive capabilities every operation threw on; GET /api/channels/adapters now lists only adapters whose operations are implemented.
  • Inbound webhook deliveries are signature-verified by default (see Channels). A connector whose verification material is not configured has its deliveries rejected and logged — the old behaviour, which accepted anything, is gone. The explicit escape hatch is "allow_unverified_webhooks": true on the connector config.
  • Bindings gained allowedSendersJson (delivery gate) and triggerRuleJson (wake/spend gate). Bindings created before these fields existed behave as before: unrestricted senders, default wake rule.

Tasks

  • Creating a project task requires kind and subsystem. A title-only create is not valid.

Plans

  • The plan enum value is Pro, not Professional.

Hosts

  • REST and MCP canonical host is https://api.atamaia.ai.
  • app.atamaia.ai serves the SPA. Do not use it as the API base.
